Is best known for voicing King Julien in The Penguins of Madagascar, both the tv series and the Feature film, and in All Hail King Julien & All Hail King Julien:Exiled.  He provided vocals as King Julien on the Soundtrack of Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. He won 2 Daytime Emmy awards for voicing King Julien.  Other notable tv roles include Multiple roles in Animaniacs and Krapopolis, Pinky’s Dad and others in Pinky Malinky, Admiral Watson and others in Miles From Tomorrowland, Ram and Yeppau in Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures and  Pizza, and others in Apple & Onion.  More notable roles in the gaming world include Victor Zsasz in Batman: Arkham Asylum, Hank Pym in Marvel’s Avengers and Hyman Roth in The Godfather II. In the commercial world, Danny has lent his voice to many spots over the years including Ford, Bissell, KFC, VW and countless others. After studying Musical Theatre at the University of Arizona he started his own theatre company with some friends in Detroit called “Generic Productions” which produced The Generic Variety Show and he also began to work in regional theatres across the country. He won several nominations and awards for his portrayal of Aram in Richard Kalinoski’s Beast on the Moon. Some other theatre roles include originating the role of Chico in Jeff Daniels’ The Vast Difference, Al in On the Open Road, Romeo in R&J, Sam and the other 37 roles in Fully Committed, Einstein in The Physicists and Hugh Butternut in Triple Espresso. He has also directed and written for stage and screen and served as Artistic Director of three different Theatre Companies. Film and TV credits include, Mad Men, Samarra, Epic Movie, Hostel III. As a singer, Mr. Jacobs has recorded many songs in character voice for various shows and in his own singing voice. He sang with Hans Zimmer and other great film composers several times including Dreamworks Live at The Hollywood Bowl and Pandamonium at the Althorpe Estate in England. He has big family including 6 siblings, 14 nieces and nephews and 6 godchildren and loves to play golf, tennis and piano in his free time. From time to time he is asked to do speaking engagements covering varied topics ranging from the voice acting business to his Catholic Faith and many topics in between.
